Runes


Three Runes of Power start at random locations on the map.  Controlling these Runes can be a great help to either team in winning the game, but capturing them can be tricky.

All Runes give a message to all players when anyone picks them up, and impose the following penalties on any hero that carries them:

If you are killed while carrying a Rune, the Rune is dropped at the position of your death.  Should you successfully bring a Rune of Power back to your team's altar, it will be converted into a runic tower which provides a passive bonus to all members of your team, varying depending on the rune captured

The Rune of Blood provides +35% attack damage

The Rune of Energy provides +3.5 mana/sec regeneration

The Rune of Protection provides +7 armor

Once a Rune of Power has been captured by one team at their altar, it can only be taken by an enemy hero with the Steal Power skill (which Supporters get for free, and other heroes can purchase for 2 skill points).

If players vote to expand the Rune set to 5 runes, these Runes are added:

The Rune of Haste provides +15% attack speed and +10% movement speed

The Rune of Regeneration provides +5 health/sec regeneration
