Happyville
Are YOU happy?
Happyville is a paranoia-oriented WarCraft 3: The
Frozen Throne custom map, set in the happy town of Happyville. This
town is home to many happy people, but it is threatened by...the UN-happy!
One or more players are randomly selected at the start of the
game to be unhappy, but no one knows who they are. As you search the town,
the unhappy will try to covertly kill the other players one at a time. The
rest of the players must identify and kill the unhappy before Happyville becomes
a ghost town.
The map features several different scenarios, each of which
contains villains with different abilities.. The scenario you play is
determined by vote at the start of each game, but some scenarios can only be
unlocked by meeting special conditions.

Changes in Version 1.4:
- Added one new unlockable scenario
- Fixed a bug in Vampire Wars that could cause vampires to appear to each other as allies.
- Fixed a bug that could cause the skill headings on the scoreboard to appear incorrect.
- Fixed a data corruption bug that occurred in the Greater Dead scenario when the Abhorsen kills a zombie.
- The Abhorsen now receives 2 gold for each zombie he kills.
- Reduced rotation threshold required to force the camera to turn quickly.
Changes in Version 1.3:
- Added one new unlockable scenario
- Implemented a new camera smoothing system, which should make small changes
in camera rotation less jerky
- The leaderboard displaying current skills now disappears when you become insane (e.g. from a Werewolf's bite).
- Fixed a bug causing certain special units to show up on the minimap.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes forced the Necromancer to select a wisp during the Greater Dead game.
- Fixed a bug causing one character's special icon to display incorrectly on the scoreboard.
- Players should no longer receive "ally under attack" messages under any circumstances.

- Fixed a bug preventing one of the unlockable games from being correctly
unlocked without a password
Changes in Version 1.2:
- Added one new unlockable scenario
- Fixed a bug that occasionally caused a computer-controlled Mystic to
attack his own apprentice
- Fixed a typo in the error message displayed when the "-end" command is
used but its prerequisites are not met
Changes in Version 1.1:
- Added one new unlockable scenario
- Fixed a bug preventing Mystics from being given sight of their apprentices
when they die
- Fixed a bug preventing use of the -end chat command while dead
- After a Possession effect ends, all involved players will now correctly
have their characters selected
- Enhanced the AI used by computer players during Employee of the Month
- Kill counts are no longer displayed in text messages at the end of a game
(this was redundant with the score board)

- Cleaned up some of the triggers to make them easier to understand and
maintain
Changes in Version 1.0:
- Added new scenario: "Evil Spirits"
- Added support for unlockable scenarios. The "Lich" and "Greater
Dead" scenarios must now be unlocked to be played. Additional unlockable
scenarios are in the works.
- Player-controlled "minions" (such as thralls, undead, etc.) now have an
option to switch to AI control, causing the owning player to become a
spectator. This can be used by the player, if they would rather spectate
than play the minion, but can also be activated by the minion's master if he
doesn't think the minion is serving his interests (one player commented that
he made an apprentice in the Mystic game, and the apprentice shouted for
people to kill him; that shouldn't be such a problem anymore).
- Slightly weakened the Speed skill
- Slightly improved the Stealth and Observation skills
- Employee of the Month now has a time limit
- Bots now activate Observation during Employee of the Month, which should
help prevent stalemates
- Players no longer receive gold for killing their own minions (e.g.
thralls)
- Fixed some minor bugs
Changes in Beta 0.9.3:
- A new scenario, the Greater Dead, has been added
- The "idle worker" tooltips have been edited to better reflect their actual
function in this map.
Changes through Beta 0.9.2:
- Replaced the Orgy of Death ability with a new ability, Frenzy, which
should be more useful.
- Runes of Haste now appear randomly with other upgrades. These runes
temporarily increase movement speed when picked up.
- Zombie speed increased from 50 to 75.
- Fixed a bug making the random game selection pick Mystic a
disproportionate amount of the time.
- Fixed a bug causing the insanity accuracy penalty to apply to people
attacking insane rather than insane attackers
- Fixed a bug causing the vampire's skill display to disappear when a
computer-controlled thrall died.
- Before combat is allowed, characters are now labeled as "Safe Mode"
instead of "Mechanical"
- Made changes to the game set-up triggers that should make them more
reliable.
- Deaths due to remorse now get an icon in the "killer" column of the
scoreboard.
- Dead players' names are no longer obscured, but they are marked as being
dead, to help avoid confusion.
- Bots should now wander in a slightly more realistic fashion.
- Closed off some of the more extreme hiding places in the map.
- Minor changes to doodad placement.
- Added occasional flashes of lightning while the game is in progress.
- The Greater Dead game is almost done, but is still suffering from some
serious bugs, so it's not enabled yet.
